Any medical graduate, scientist or health professional with interests in the field of overweight and obesity is eligible for nomination to become a member of the Obesity Society.

Prospective members of the Obesity Society must complete an 'Application for Membership' form and be nominated by an exisiting Obesity Society member.  Application to join the Obesity Society must be accompanied by a brief CV.  This application will be considered by the Membership Committee and nomination will be official following formal approval by the Obesity Society Council.

There are many benefits to membership. The Obesity Society membership permits access to an interactive website, regular newsletters, reduced registration fees to all Obesity Society scientific meetings, proceedings of the Annual Scientific Meeting, information on Obesity Society awards, and additional national and international information (e.g. IASO newsletter).  Members may vote for Council officers and may be nominated for Council.

Further details regarding the Obesity Society membership can be obtained from the ‘membership’ section of the Obesity Society website. Membership application forms can also be downloaded.
